Xaverian High School Athletes Shine in CHSFL All-Star Team for 2024, CHSAA Girls’ All-League Teams, as Reported by The Tablet

According to The Tablet, the newspaper of the Diocese of Brooklyn, Xaverian High School has made a significant impact in the 2024 Brooklyn/Queens Catholic High School Football League (CHSFL) All-Star selections and 2024 CHSAA Girls’ All-League Teams, with several of its student-athletes earning top honors.
Football Highlights
Offensive Standouts:
Wide Receivers:
Conor Molen, a senior, showcased his skills with 20 receptions totaling 195 yards.
Antonio Hernandez, also a senior, contributed 12 catches for 138 yards.
Offensive Line:
Thomas Regan, a senior, was a pivotal force on the offensive line. His exceptional performance earned him CHSFL All-League honors, a spot in the 2024 Senior Bowl, and the prestigious Joe Thomas Memorial Award for 'AA II' Lineman of the Year.
Seniors Matteo Perrotta and Colin Smith were integral parts of the offensive front, providing essential protection and support throughout the season.
Defensive Leaders:
Defensive Line:
Jaiden Cadotte (pictured), a senior, delivered an impressive defensive performance with 22 tackles, eight sacks, and five pass deflections. His outstanding play earned him the Vincent O’Connor Memorial Award for 'AA II' Defensive Player of the Year, the Msgr. Matthew Peters Student-Athlete Award, and the title of Defensive MVP in the 'AA II' championship game.
Tommy Martin, senior, contributed significantly with 40 tackles, two sacks, and three interceptions, securing CHSFL All-League recognition and a place in the 2024 Senior Bowl.
Linebackers:
Owen Conti, a senior and team captain, recorded 45 tackles, two sacks, and three forced fumbles, earning CHSFL All-League honors and participation in the 2024 Senior Bowl.
Finbar McGuinness, senior, added 48 tackles and two forced fumbles to the team's defensive efforts, also achieving CHSFL All-League status.
Girls’ Athletics Excellence
Xaverian High School’s female athletes also made their mark on the 2024 CHSAA Girls’ All-League Teams:
Samantha Gomez, a standout player, earned All-League honors for her consistent scoring ability and leadership on the basketball court.
Emily Ramirez, an exceptional volleyball player, demonstrated her skills in serving and defense, earning her a spot on the All-League team.
